The Sea Glass Studio is a welcoming place to do both. A space to have fun, get creative, ignite new passions and meet like-minded people. Everyone is welcome here, whether you’re local, or visiting Cornwall on holiday… you’ll be able to take a piece home with you to remember.

Join us at The Sea Glass Studio for an exciting lost wax carving workshop with Tg-Jewellery by Tamara Gervasio. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to create your very own custom-designed ring with garnet gemstones.
Under the expert guidance of Tamara Gervasio, you will learn the intricate art of lost wax carving. Starting from scratch, you will be taught how to build up your ring design using the wax carving technique thought the spirit lamp method. Tamara will share her knowledge and techniques, ensuring that you gain a solid understanding of the process.

No prior experience in jewellery making is required for this workshop.


All materials and tools will be provided, ensuring that you have everything you need to create your ring.


Whether you are a beginner or have some experience in jewellery making, this workshop is designed to cater to all skill levels.
Your lost wax ring will be send it for casting in sterling silver 925 and you will have it back polished and finished ready to wear. The casting process and clean up takes some time and Tamara's will post the final product to you within 3 weeks.


This workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to explore your creativity, connect with like-minded individuals, and learn a fascinating craft.

Lost Wax casting is a sculptural technique widespread as early as the 3rd millennium BC, which has flourished considerably over the centuries, especially in Greek and Roman sculpture.


Attendees must be 16 years of age and above.


Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult (there is no extra fee). If you / or someone you know are wishing to attend a workshop and are under 16 years, please send me an email and I will be happy to help.


Sensible, closed-toe shoes required and no loose clothing: things can get a little messy in a jewellery making environment and whilst apron’s are provided, it’s worth bearing in mind not to wear your very best clothes!


Teas and coffee will be provided, if you’d like to treat yourself before and / after… Muddy Beach Cafe, Sunshine Studio Cafe and Baileys Country Store are all close by with plenty of delicious food!

Tamara has been making Lost Wax jewellery for 30 years, working on private collections and creating designer pieces for fashion houses such as Paul Smith & Vivienne Westwood.

Tamara was born in Italy and studied for five years as a sculptor at the Institute of Art and for two years in jewellery specialisation as a wax carver and goldsmith designer in Rome.

Her creative career blossomed when she moved to England and started working out of Hatton Garden, London in 1998.

Her passion is aimed at creating unique handmade jewels with a difference - with an “everything is possible” approach, supported by a wealth of tenacity and experience.
