Join Jude Gove, a designer/maker with over 25 years’ experience in contemporary craft to learn how to create your own handcrafted leather coin or card purse. Date: Wednesday 15 October 2025

Jude will guide you through the creation of two purse designs from a selection of repurposed leather, pure wool felt and brass fittings. Starting with drawing and cutting your chosen design, through to sewing it together with simple hand-stitching techniques.
By the end of the workshop, you will have made your own purse and gained valuable skills in leatherwork. The techniques used are straightforward and accessible, making it easy to continue your new craft discipline at home.
All tools and materials will be provided. Spaces are limited so it is recommended to book in advance.
Working from her home studio, Jude Gove makes leather and pure wool felt accessories, each piece cut and stitched by hand. Her practice combines a focus on simple, practical shapes with exquisite colour palettes and the use of high-quality, repurposed materials. With durability and design at the heart of her work, she aims to create timeless products made to be used and treasured for a lifetime.
