Craft your own Birkenstock Arizona sandals!
Treat your feet to the ultimate luxury: a custom pair of leather Birkenstock-style sandals made by you. In this hands-on class, you’ll craft your own Arizona sandals using high-quality leather and genuine Birkenstock hardware—because comfort should look good too.
We’ll kick things off with a quick intro to leatherworking basics—learn about different types of leather, how to cut and shape it, and how to handle tools like a pro (no prior experience needed, just a can-do attitude). Then, channel your inner mathlete to measure, mark, and assemble the perfect sandal straps to fit your feet like a dream.

Important step before class
To make sure your Arizona sandal fit just right, please look out for an email to provide your footbed size, buckle choices, and leather choices. Birkenstock sizes are unique so you must use the resource sent in the email . A response is required no later than 7 days before the day of class. If you have any questions, please reach out at [email protected]. Please note, if you do not submit your sizing 7 days before class or enter inaccurate sizing, there is no refund for cost of materials already ordered.
So how will the class work?
You'll start by selecting your leather pieces for your unique one-of-a-kind Birkenstock Arizona sandals. We'll then dive into a little about leather and its characterisitics before we dive into getting our hands working! You'll get to do every step of the process except making your own cork soles. We'll be using authentic Birkenstock footbeds, soles, and buckles!
Although the class is scheduled for 6 hours including a break in the middle, on average the class runs about 5 hours.
I am a believer in learning by doing and like to give each attendee my undivided attention. Therefore, this class is limited to a max of 6 people to allow me to assist everyone. If you'd like a class for more than 6 people, please email me at [email protected].
