About this Event
In this two hour workshop, you will design and emboss your own copper hanging decorations, much like the ones you see hanging withing the Gallery Shop.
You’ll learn drawing and embossing techniques to create your own Sacred Heart decoration. Then, you’ll have the freedom to adapt your own design from templates or create one from scratch, customise your colours, and personalise your decoration.
You will also learn the process to upcycle cans into beautiful tree ornaments using just a pair of scissors, a pen and thread.
Suitable for beginners. Embossing involves metal foil with sharp edges - not suitable for children.
Jas Lewis-Henman is a multi-disciplined artist whose practice scopes craft, illustration, and textile art. Through tactile media such as metal embossing and needle felting, Jas creates objects and clothing with the aim of bringing magic and nature into our homes. Inspired by folklore, tarot, witchcraft, Jas inhabits a whimsical world that connects our bodies, nature and the cosmos.

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
If we need to cancel the course for any reason your ticket will be fully refunded.
