Participants will start with a blank pre-thrown stein (made by ICCGS’s Resident Artists) to personalize and decorate using clay and glazes.
About this Event

The Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio (ICCGS) will join us again for this popular workshop here at Lion Bridge Brewing Company! Participants will start with a blank pre-thrown stein (made by ICCGS’s Resident Artists) to personalize and decorate using clay and glazes. You will add a decorative or functional handle and then decorate the outside of the stein to resemble a face including! Participants will then paint their steins using special ceramic glazes. Projects will then be taken back to ICCGS to be coated with a special clear glaze and fired in their kilns. Your finished stein will be available for pickup 3 weeks later at ICCGS. 1 LB beer is included with the purchase of a ticket.
