Make Your Own Artist Trading Cards

In 1997, a Swiss artist named M. Vanci Stirnemann, created 1200 cards by hand as part of an art exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during his closing reception. 

For this class, we will be joining the tradition and create our own Artist Trading Cards. This project allows people from different backgrounds, mediums, and abilities to make small tradable works of art. All materials will be provided in this workshop to create 5 original Artist Trading cards. Prompts, ideas, and examples will also be present to get the creativity flowing. At the end of class, artists can then choose to keep their cards, or trade their cards with each other to start their very own collection.
