Make the Bed is a solo exhibition by Virginia-based painter Walker J. Antonio, featuring sixty intimate works created through a daily studio practice over the past year. The exhibition explores themes of discipline, repetition, and the quiet tension between order and chaos — and what can take shape when care and consistency are given room to work. This body of work marks a turning point in Walker’s practice, shifting toward a more focused, process-driven approach. Walker is currently an art teacher at Woodberry Forest School, where these same values of attentiveness and discipline shape his work with students.
For Sheridan Studios, Make the Bed arrives at a parallel moment of growth and reflection, making this collaboration especially meaningful for both artist and space.
Join us at Sheridan Studios for the opening reception and artist talk on Friday, February 14 at 5:30 PM.
