This year's event is a companion activity to the City of Kenmore's Winterfest. For more information on additional activities visit https://www.kenmorewa.gov/our-city/special-events/winterfest.At this event you are invited to cut and tie tassels on no-sew fleece scarves that will be donated to unhoused families. This event is very kid friendly. Fleece will be pre-cut to scarf length/width; note cards, pens, stickers and more will also be provided. **Please bring your own scissors if you can!** Kids of all ages can help cut tassels or decorate note cards.
We encourage you to also add a hand-written note as a personal touch to each scarf. While we honor, value and respect all faiths, we kindly ask that messages remain free from religious content - the recipients will be from all cultures and beliefs; we want foster a feeling of acceptance and unity.
Mary’s Place is a local homeless shelter supporting families in the greater Seattle area, with a shelter locally in Kenmore.
