This Make It Your Business Event is hosted by Shelley Offices, Borehamwood and organised by Chelsea Kester.

Jen Smith - Founder, The Curious Mentor
In 2009 Jenny ventured into the world of self employment, after a varied career which had equipped her with a host of skills.
Returning to self employment after having 2 children she was fortunate enough to study Export Sales & Marketing at Cass Business School (University of London) and specialised further in business ethics and digital marketing – especially those elements that relate to international trade.
In 2010 she started a blog and fell in love with WordPress and discovered her inner geek and from there realised the links between music and code, social media and human behaviour and that how we behave online is a constantly evolving and fascinating subject.
Named as one of the f-entrepreneur #ialso 100 list of female entrepreneurs in 2021, Jen started working on a wider range of projects whilst also embarking on the journey that led to her diagnosis of ADHD and Autism. She now mixes her digital marketing work with mentoring – for her own clients as The Curious Mentor and for Small Business Britain
She is not keen on corporate headshots but is keen on being part of the local community, being kind, giving back and the occasional gin and tonic. She is also a mum to two teenagers, has been a Guide leader for 27 years and is a qualified table official for wheelchair basketball.

Cheryl Luzet - CEO, Wagada Digital
Cheryl founded Wagada Digital in 2011 with a desire to create the sort of agency that she would have wanted to work with as an in-house marketer. Having worked in both in-house and agency roles in London during her 15-year career prior to Wagada Digital, her experience gave her fantastic insight into where other agencies were not meeting the needs of their clients.
Cheryl’s aim for her agency is to make specialist digital marketing expertise accessible to ambitious, growing businesses. She works on a no jargon/no fluff policy. Embedded in life in Wagada Digital is the idea of embracing failure, something which Cheryl is really passionate about.
Wagada Digital has won several workplace wellbeing awards and promoting a positive working environment was key part of Cheryl’s goals for the agency. She works on a policy of happy staff = happy clients.

Lisa Clark - MD, iSales Academy
Lisa is a business and management expert with over 20 years of executive level experience. Having left her role at a Telecoms company 2017, as HR and Operations Director, she was ready to take on a new challenge and set-up her own training company, Lisa said she has never looked back and this was one of her best decisions.
Outside of work Lisa enjoys walking (she doesn’t have a dog), cycling, cooking and is truly passionate about helping people to achieve their career and personal goals through training, coaching, and sometimes by just providing a friendly ear. Having left school at 16, Lisa said her success has been aided by remaining true to her mantra which is… always do your best, do the right thing, then good things will follow!
