October is Bat Appreciation Month, so grab a hammer and apron and build your very own take home bat house and enjoy a visit from a real live bat! All you need to bring is a sense of adventure.This workshop is for youth ages 5 to 17 with an adult age 18 or older to assist them. Registration fee covers one youth participant and one adult assistant. Please register under the youth's name. Due to limited space, please only bring 1 adult per registered youth.
All tools, supplies, and materials you need, as well as instruction to complete the bat house are provided.
Cost is $20 for FHDC members and $25 for non-members and is scholarship eligible. Pre-registration is required online, by phone at 785-587-2726, or in person at the Discovery Center. Spots are limited.
