A sensory board is a fun way for children to touch and explore different textures and objects all in one place. By sliding, pressing, and feeling items like fabric, zippers, beads, or sponges, children practice fine motor skills and learn new words to describe what they feel. Sensory boards can also be calming, and help children focus, making them a great tool to use both at home and in the classroom.Please join us for our October Make It, Take It, where teachers and families will create a sensory board that encourages children to explore textures, develop fine motor skills, enhance language skills, and support self-regulation.
