Do you have a never ending mending pile?Are unworn, as new clothes filling up your wardrobe?
Join us for a full day workshop and we can help to give those unused clothes the love they deserve.
We can show you how to alter clothing to fit your body and customise them to fit your personality.
Some of the things we will cover:
Darts for shaping. Taking in seams. Shortening length. Extending length with additional fabric. Adding pockets. Sewing on buttons, patching holes, trouble shooting.
You will need to bring your sewing machine, thread, scissors, the garments to mend and any embellishments that you'd like to add.
We do have machines that you can use if you don't have access to one, please let us know.
We can also provide extra fabric, buttons, thread, and fabric scissors.
This workshop requires basic machine sewing skills, we will not be attempting anything advanced.
Basic sewing skills are necessary for this workshop, although we are happy to show you the ropes.
Please wear closed in shoes for OHS reasons.
Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided.
