Learn to create a custom cutting board for you; or as a gift, welcome in any kitchen! This class is a good intro to woodworking or production product making with a comprehensive lesson on design. The class will walk you through each step of the process from milling your lumber to the glue up, and finally you will sand and finish your piece. Additionally all participants will get firsthand experience with many power tools in the shop. Including a table saw, jointer, drum sander, router, and more. Following this you will learn the finishing process of food safe wood and walk out with your own cutting board. This class is a comprehensive 4 hour class. Spots are limited, be sure to sign up early! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
