Our classes and workshops are the perfect “unique” alternative to a material gift or “stuff” for any occasion! In this two-part class, learn what's involved in building cabinets from start-to-finish, including box construction, face framing, drawers, doors, and hardware like hinges and knobs. We will demonstrate Rockler Jig's that will help you along the way. You’ll see the process firsthand because you will build your very own base cabinet! The first part will have you making a 2 drawer cabinet with pocket hole joinery to take home and bring back for the 2nd session one week later. Return with your cabinet from the first part class and add a rail & stile door and make and attach drawer fronts. Our Woodworking 101 or power tool woodworking experience is a required prerequisite. The dates for this 2-part class is 10/5 and 10/12. This is a comprehensive class, each day is 7.5 hours with a 30 minute lunch break and limited to 2 students so it FILLS UP FAST! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
