Interested in working on a lathe, but unsure or daunted? Learn to turn with carbide tools. This class will walk you through the ins and outs of wood turning with a professional instructor there to answer any questions you may have. In this class you will familiarize yourself with the tools and techniques needed to sculpt a bowl of your own design, and allowing you to walk out of the class with your very own one of a kind piece. This class is a comprehensive 3.5 hour class. Spots are limited, be sure to sign up early! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
