Make & Take: Bookcase!

Ages 14 to 17 requires a parent or guardian present during the class. Looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift? Why not give the “Gift of Experience”? Our classes and workshops are the perfect “unique” alternative to a material gift or “stuff” for any occasion. Come make a beautiful bookcase! The overall dimensions will be 39”H x 30”W x 12”D. You will be using Baltic Birch Plywood and solid maple lumber. This bookcase has two adjustable shelves with a total of three shelves. The power tools you will be using is the router table, table saw, miter saw, planer and jointer. You will also learn to make matching molding at the router table. We will demonstrate Rockler Jig's that will help you along the way. You’ll see the process firsthand because you will build your very own bookcase! Our Woodworking 101 or power tool woodworking experience is a required prerequisite. This is a comprehensive 7.5 hour class with a 30 minute lunch break and limited to 2 students so it FILLS UP FAST! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
