In this class, you will learn how to make a chunky blanket, knitting only with your hands. For learning purposes, we will be making a small lap or crib size blanket.No needles required! You’ll need to bring three skeins of yarn to class. If you have sewing scissors, please bring those as well. I will have a few to share if you do not have your own.
For beginners, I recommend Bernat Blanket Big Yarn, jumbo weight, 32 yards per skein (96 yards total). It is made of polyester and has a minimal “slide.” This yarn is readily available at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn. There are over 60 colors to choose from as well. Choose whatever color(s) you would like.
Once you learn how easy it is, you’ll be making custom blankets for your friends and family, too. Christmas is coming soon!

Hello! My name is Kristina Skirving. I began my holistic journey a few years ago. Along this journey of healing I have become a Usui Reiki Master, and enjoy making herbal medicinal remedies, all-natural skin products, and all-natural soap.
