A fun filled day creating a mushroom out of Hebel (aerated cement) and then mosaicking it, in just one day! During the morning, you will carve and shape your mushroom, learning how to use Hebel for mosaics.
In the afternoon, you will decorate your mushroom (two parts) using glass tiles, porcelain tiles.
All materials will be included in the workshop cost, including the Hebel, adhesive, tiles, grout.
WHAT YOU MUST BE ABLE TO BRING:
Twin wheel glass cutters
Protective gear, including a P2 Mask, plus a disposable gloves. A basic mask is NOT suitable, as this product is cement based and very messy/ dusty)
A small hacksaw or small garden saw. ( many of you may have this in your shed!) This cuts the Hebel.
A rasp or tile file. ( please ask me for a photo if you aren't sure what it is)
Course sandpaper.
Wear OLD clothes or get a protective, all in one safety suit ( cheaply available at Bunnings)
I will have a few tools available to use but each students needs a set of tools.
