Make your own Hmong women's outfit
Join us for a two-day class where you learn how to make your very own Hmong Woman's Outfit! Kia Xiong from Xiongseams will be teaching how to measure, create a pattern, and make a box shirt and sev. This is an intermediate class. Students should have experience with using a sewing machine.

Kia is a seamstress based out of Milwaukee Wisconsin. She has 10 years of sewing experience and learned how to sew Hmong clothes from her mother. She has taught in-person classes on how to sew a variety of Hmong clothes since 2019 and now teaches Hmong clothes pattern making via online Zoom classes. Kia and her mother manage XiongSeams - a US based business that makes modern and traditional Hmong clothes, and sells Hmong clothes patterns.
