About this Event
Come along to Thorniley Studios for the perfect beginners course in traditional silversmithing and jewellery making techniques.
We will explore some basic techniques including sawing, soldering and shaping/forming to create a simple sterling silver ring.
The silver we will be using is 100% recycled and all materials are provided. By the end of the afternoon you will have your very own silver ring to take home, handmade by you.
The workshop lasts about 4 hours

This event is suitable for people aged 16 and over.
Please wear sensible footwear – no open-toed shoes/sandals. Hair must be tied back at all times. Do not come dressed in your best clothes! They may get a little mucky…
This event is run in a shared workshop so there may be a couple of other artists knocking about while we work.
I do not offer refunds so please bear that in mind when purchasing tickets. Tickets can be transferred to an alternative date up to 14 days prior to the event. The new workshop date selected must be within a month of the original workshop date .
