Make a Personalized, Decorated, Food Safe Small Pottery Tray (2-Days)

In this class, you will learn the whole process of making a tray out of a slab of clay. You will use the tools in the classroom, including a slab roller, molds, rasps, colored slabs, and much more. You will also learn how to carve your design into your project (or use some examples of designs). We will also learn how to wax and glaze.

You will start with a piece of clay and go home with your personalized piece of art.

This is a two-day class. The second class day is March 18th at 6PM.

This class needs a minimum of 2 attendees to run

Instructor: Doke Collins

Instructor Bio: My name is Doke Collins, and I have lived in Portsmouth for 29 years. I have primarily worked in educational settings and love helping people explore new, creative ways of expressing themselves. Pottery has been my long-time passion, and I have been part of several studios. My specialty is handbuilding. I am very excited to be part of the fantastic new Pottery Studio in Portsmouth and look forward to working with you.
