Eco Action leads a fascinating and educational workshop for children all about native bees!
In Western Australia, insects make up 80% of all our animals, and without them humankind would struggle to survive! Without important pollinators such as bees and butterflies there would be no tasty apples, pears or many other fruits and foods that we enjoy.
This workshop focuses on our diverse native bee species. Children will learn just how different native bees are to the European Honeybee.
Each child will be able to construct their own native bee home for their garden from a range of recycled materials. These can be decorated as an attractive art piece with pens and paint.
Each child will be given information on how to monitor their native bee homes in their own gardens in springtime.
Suitable for ages 7 to 12.
