I'm looking forward to restarting Make a Move classes on Mondays. Do you live with Parkinson's, MS or are you a stroke survivor? Or do you know someone that is? Drawing on my training and experience in Dance and Disability, Dance for Parkinson's and Inclusive Dance Practice, I am about to restart 'Make a Move' - dance classes to lift your spirits, improve your mobility, strength, co-ordination and balance and make connections. There is scientific evidence to suggest that dancing to music is beneficial for people living with a neurological condition that affects their movement as it helps to stimulate new neural pathways. And it's fun, sociable, expressive, and an artistic alternative to traditional exercise. Dancing can be done seated, standing or a combination of both. Carers/friends/family can take part too.
