About this Event

Let your creative juices sparkle this holiday season by crafting a one-of-a-kind miniature Christmas tree house in pure silver! This hands-on class will guide you through the entire process of transforming precious metal clay into a beautifully detailed, silver Christmas tree form house, perfect for gifting or as a stunning piece of holiday décor.

In this class, you will learn:

Techniques for shaping and texturing precious metal clay to form your Christmas tree house structure.
How to add intricate details like doors, windows, and ornaments to bring your design to life.
The process of drying, refining, and firing the clay to reveal pure, fine silver.
Finishing touches, including polishing and adding any final embellishments.

No prior experience with precious metal clay is necessary—this class is designed for all skill levels. Our expert instructor will provide personalized guidance and all the materials needed for your project. By the end of the class, you'll leave with a beautiful, handmade silver Christmas tree house to treasure for years to come.

Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced - experience helps but not required
Date: Tuesdays, November 4, 11 and 18, 2025
Time: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Location: Fingernail Moon Jewelry Studio at FAVO
Fee: $150 **PLUS CLAY (all materials provided except metal clay, 50 grams of fine silver required; student may bring their own - fine silver, firable at 1600 degrees for 2 hours - or purchase from the instructor at first class - $125 for 50 grams of Art Clay Silver)

Students will be provided with a tool and all materials required for use during class, but students are welcome to bring their own personal tools. If students wish to use a clay other than a fine silver open shelf firable at 1600 degrees for 2 hours, there will be a firing fee of $15 and student must sign a waiver.

Fingernail Moon Jewelry Studio is located in FAVO - Faith Arts Village Orlando, 718 Highland Ave. To enter the facility, turn north on Highland from Colonial, there is a stoplight, and enter the second driveway on the left, through a black fence. You will see a sign that says "Park Lake Presbyterian Church, FAVO Art Studios". Proceed through the parking lot to the far right and rear and on through the driveway connecting to a second parking lot. You will see an L-shaped building with colorful doors - that's us! I am studio 237, second from the end upstairs on the right. Look for the moons!
