Maja Petrovic & Marko Miljevic will teach and perform in Seattle for the first time!
All CLASSES will be held at Dance Underground. PERFORMANCE will be held at Century Ballroom on Friday, May 12th
Thursday and Friday will be all levels classes while Saturday/Sunday is an intermediate/advance level seminar. Registration must be done in advance, as these classes have limited registration.

Thursday, May 11th at 6:45pm - 8:00pm & 8:15-9:30pm | $35 person/class ($25 person/class if registered for seminar) LIMITED to 30 couples max
6:45 - 8 pm | Rhythmic opulence of vals
Here we'll talk about 4 different rhythmic patterns in vals and set a solid
foundation to fully enjoy this genre.
8:15 - 9:30pm | Milonga building blocks
Rhythmic variations are the key to a well improvised milonga. Let us
show you how we do it with only 2 elements and their modifications.
Placed accordingly to the music, of course.

TECHNIQUE FOR EVERYBODY: ESSENTIAL EMBELLISHMENTS
The topic of this lesson are two fun and useful embellishments: piques and crosses. You'll learn their standard form, technique, timing and placement, rhythmic variations, different qualities in both tango and vals. These two little gems may very well lead you to the wonderful world of embellishments! This lesson is intended for both leaders and followers. The students do not have to register in couple.

Saturday: Pivotal Fundamentals (pun intended)
(12pm - 1:15) Class 1: WALKING IN/OUT OF CLOSE EMBRACE
What would tango be without walking and embracing! Through different exercises (alone and in couples) we'll show you how to make and keep a comfortable and soft close embrace and while walking effortlessly and elegantly.
(1:30pm - 2:45) Class 2: BOLEO STARTER PACK
We'll explain the technique of a smooth pivot (for leaders and followers) and build it up to a fierce forward and back boleo. And yes, if done correctly, boleos are milonga friendly.
(3pm - 4:15) Class 3: REBOUNDS FOR ALL OCCASIONS
This fun repetitive combination of small steps is exactly what you’ve been missing for that perfect interpretation. we'll start with small rebounds and connect them into a playful sequence. This will create new challenges both for the leader and the follower.

Sunday: Milonguero’s Guide to Close Embrace Giros
(1pm - 2:15) Class 1: COUPLES’ TECHNIQUE: ROLLING CLOSE EMBRACE
Rolling is an essential technique for pivoting comfortably in close embrace. In this lesson we'll teach you how to apply this technique in standard tango figures that require a pivot.
(2:30pm - 3:45) Class 2: FAVORITE COMBINATIONS WITH GIRO
There are plenty of elements which can be added to giro resulting in fun and surprising combinations. From sacadas to boleos to changes of direction, let’s mix it all!
(4pm - 5:15) Class 3: SACADAS ON REPEAT
Why do just one giro when you can do 42? Add repetitive sacadas and you’ll never want to stop turning. All participants must have solid foundation in giro and sacadas.
