An evening with adventurer, outdoors and travel writer, beer enthusiast, and fun-meister Carey Kish! Maine Author Carey Kish hiked over 300 miles on foot and tasted more than 230 different beers to bring readers this great selection of hikes and brews. Join him for a talk about his guidebook, Beer Hiking New England, which showcases a wide variety of fun beer hikes throughout New England, from easy walks to moderate rambles and strenuous climbs. Carey will talk about the stunning scenery that awaits you and the breweries and brewpubs nearby that’ll quench your thirst at the end of your hike. He also has a few interesting tales to tell about the beer hiking journey.This in-person event will be held at The Weathervane Restaurant at 1030 Main St., Readfield on Thursday March 27th at 6:30pm. Copies of all 3 of Carey’s books will be available for sale and signing after the event. This event is sponsored by the Readfield Community Library and Readfield U (a free pop-up University).

About the Author:
Carey Kish lives in Maine and has hiked the 2,190-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine (twice), the 1,100-mile Florida Trail, the 2,654-mile Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, and just last year, the 2,700-mile Continental Divide Trail from Mexico to Canada. Beer Hiking New England is a product of Kish’s lifelong passion for hiking and his love for tasty craft-brewed beer. He is the editor of the AMC Maine Mountain Guide and author of AMC’s Best Day Hikes Along the Maine Coast.
