Mahjong is having (another) moment, and you’ve always wanted to learn to play. Here’s your chance! Connect with community, support WBUR and learn to play Hong Kong style mahjong with the Mei Mei Dumplings team and chef Irene Li!This event is ideal for newbies, beginners and patient intermediates. Mei Mei will provide mahjong sets, printed guides and a 15-20 minute tutorial. We’ll review game setup, game play and talk a little bit about the many varieties of this beloved game.
What to bring: We’ll provide snacks and tea – please bring your own reusable mug! If you have a mahjong set, bring that too! Sets will be available for sale if you’d like to purchase one at the event.
