Gather your friends and pull up a chair—Mahjong for a Mission is coming to Milo and it’s about so much more than the tiles! We are proud to partner with Mahjong for a Mission (MFAM) for a two-part series designed to bring our community together through play, philanthropy, and soulful connection.Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or have never touched a tile in your life, there is a seat for you at our table.
The Mission
Born out of friendship, hardship, and the joy of the game, MFAM was co-founded by Laura McNutt and Emily Miller. Following Laura’s Stage 4 cancer diagnosis in 2023, she felt a calling to give back to the Waco community that had poured so much love into her family. MFAM hosts events that bring awareness and philanthropic support to local Central Texas charities through the traditional game of Mahjong.

🀄️ Jan 26: Lessons: The Learning Session Perfect for rookies! We’ll host a 30-minute guided lesson in our private room followed by practice play alongside veterans.
Individual Lesson + Practice Play Ticket: $75
🏆 Feb 9: The Tournament Ready for a little friendly competition? Secure a full table for your crew or join as an individual for open play.
Open Play Table (4 seats): $140
Individual Open Play Ticket: $40
The Evening Flow
5:00 - 5:30 PM: Check-in, grab a drink (first round on us!), and enjoy our Grazing Table featuring signature Milo bites.
5:30 - 8:00 PM: Let the games begin! Expect roughly three rounds of play.
Raffle: Every player is automatically entered to win a Milo gift card and other curated prizes!
Sip & Savor
In addition to our grazing table and passed hors d'oeuvres, the full Milo menu and a select bar menu will be available for purchase. Want to elevate the evening? Ask us about bottle service add-ons for your table!
