This Mahjong 101 class is taught using traditional National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules and the official NMJL card, which is updated annually. We will cover the fundamentals of the game, including tiles, rules, and how to read the card, followed by an open, guided game where you can learn by playing in a supportive environment.

Please bring your NMJL 2026 league card with you. If you do not have a card, you can borrow one from SW CLE MAHJONG for this lesson.

Open Play tables are for experienced players that can play independently and do not need assistance.
