FAQs
What is Mahjong?
Traditional Mahjong is a strategic tile game for four players, originating in China, where players aim to form 14-tile hands by collecting sets (Chows, Pongs, Kongs) and a pair from a large collection of tiles, which include numbered tiles, honors (Winds, Dragons), and sometimes bonus tiles like Flowers and Seasons. Players draw and discard tiles in turns to complete their hand, with the first to do so winning the round and scoring points.
But isn’t that the matching game?
Nope! It’s a totally different game.
Do I need to bring a set?

Do I need to sign up?

Do I have to pay to learn
