Every year, as winter arrives, we celebrate the infinite wisdom of the 15th-century mystic-poet Kabir, in a city 'older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend', Varanasi. For the past eight years, we have embraced Kabir’s syncretic and often revolutionary philosophy on the banks of the Ganga. It’s time for the 9th milestone edition and another immersive, lyrical experience.The Mahindra Kabira Festival has programmed great artists and thinkers like Prahlad Singh Tipaniya, Mukhtiyar Ali, Aruna Sairam, the Raghu Dixit Project, Indian Ocean, Anwar Khan Manganiar, Shabnam Virmani, Kabir Cafe, Kailash Kher, Shubha Mudgal, Mooralala, Malini Awasthi, Dastaan Live, Paresh Maity, Purushottam Agrawal, Linda Hess and looks forward to many more.
The upcoming edition will span classical and folk music, talks, art demonstrations, boat rides, local food trails, the quintessential Ganga Arati experience and heritage walks into the brimming bylanes of Varanasi.
