Beginner Workshop - 24th August
Master the fundamentals of this beautiful craft while creating exquisite woven pieces—kōnae (small basket), bracelets, and delicate flowers. Whether you're new to weaving or simply curious, immerse yourself in the rich traditions of Māori artistry and bring your own unique designs to life.
Advanced Workshop - 31st August
For those eager to deepen their skills, this second (advanced) class offers the opportunity to craft mahe (fishing sinkers) and kono roa (a long woven basket), allowing you to expand your weaving expertise and strengthen your connection to this time-honoured practice.
Bring a medium size round stone to weave around it, if you have one for both workshops
Please bring your own lunch.
This workshop is for ages 10 and above.
Students age 10–15 must be accompanied by an adult.
