On the auspicious night of Sunday, February 15, 2026, the cosmos aligns for a celebration of profound spiritual significance. Mahashivratri Mahotsav is a gateway to inner peace and the ultimate union of the soul with the Supreme Consciousness. As the winter chill of February settles, we invite you into a sanctified space filled with the fragrance of incense, the warmth of oil lamps, and the powerful vibrations of ancient Vedic chants.
A Setting of Pure Devotion
Our grand Pandal is meticulously designed to transport you to the mystical realms of Kailash. Adorned with intricate floral Jhalars (hangings) and Ladiyas (garlands) of fresh marigolds, the atmosphere breathes life into tradition. The air is thick with the sacred smoke of Dhup and Loban, creating a meditative haze that clears the mind of worldly distractions. Amidst the chilling cold of the night, the warmth of thousands of twinkling Diyas and the Akhanda Dhuni will provide a comforting glow, symbolizing the victory of light over ignorance.
The heart of the Mahotsav features a majestic Shiva Lingam, where the Maha Rudrabhishek continues throughout the night. Devotees will witness the serene sight of chilled milk and holy Ganga jal flowing over the Lingam, accompanied by the rhythmic chanting of the Rudram and the breathtaking Maha Aarti performed by our Priests with multi-tiered brass lamps.
Mahaprasad: Divine Nourishment
We believe that serving the devotee is serving Shiva. Our kitchen will prepare a Sattvic Mahaprasad specifically curated for those observing the fast (Vrat). Every attendee is invited to partake in the blessings through a traditional meal including:
- Kuttu Ki Puri & Aloo Sabzi: Warm buckwheat breads with rock-salt tempered potato curry.
- Sabudana Khichdi: Light sago pearls with roasted peanuts.
- Thandai: A refreshing milk-based drink infused with saffron and almonds.
- Makhana Kheer: A creamy sweet pudding made with fox nuts for instant energy.
The Dance of the Soul
Mahashivratri celebrates the Nataraja—the King of Dance. As the night progresses, the stillness of meditation transitions into joyous celebration. Devotees are invited to participate in the ecstatic Shiv-Tandava Chanting, where the rhythmic beats of the Damru and Nagada inspire a natural movement of the soul. Whether it is joining the professional troupes in a synchronized circle or simply swaying to the Bhajans, the dance is an expression of pure bliss and surrender to Mahadev.
