The yearlong struggles and toils of the devotee disintegrate in the day-long fasting and chant of panchakshari maha mantra. At the wee hours of this auspicious day Lord Shiva accompanied by Parvati appears to bless humanity.
The accumulated demerits of wrongdoing, as we plough through this messy world, are washed away in an instant.
As Shiva opens the third eye of wisdom and compassion, humanity feels nurtured and redeemed.
Shiva's blessings are available for the entire world, regardless of caste, creed, ethnicity, nationality, gender and race.
Let us celebrate Shiva Ratri as a day of spiritual unity, moral fortitude and universal forgiveness.
