About this Event
Please join us for a bird outing with a water view on Sunday, March 2 at 10 a.m. We will be meeting at the Frog Pond Park and Ride in Magnuson Park near the wetlands to do a tour of the ponds before heading on down to the lake. (The wetland parking lot is the proposed site for.) We’ll keep a lookout for winter waterfowl, like gadwalls, wigeons and bufflehead on the lake and in the wetlands we may be able to spot a kingfisher or Virginia rail if we’re lucky.
The trails on this walk are well maintained, a mix of gravel and pavement. Please dress for the weather and we suggest bringing snacks and/or water.
Logistics: Two bus lines 62 & 75 get close to the Park and Ride. If you are able to offer a ride or are looking for a ride, you can sign up here.
As always, all are welcome on this outing. We require that participants be familiar with and agree to the Feminist Bird Club principles and code of conduct.
Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions, accessibility needs not addressed here, or need to borrow a pair of binoculars.
