Magne.Q 3.0, the 3rd MCPSC Intra Science Festival-2025, a place where curiosity is greater than fear and questions are louder than answers. Here, you won’t just follow instructions, you’ll bend them, twist them, and make them your own.
Remember: success is never the goal, excellence is the rest will follow. So loosen up, think freely, and whisper to your heart:
“All is well.” Because in this fest, creativity has no rules, and ideas have no boundaries.

3. Open for all

Make-A-Thon
This segment is one of the most challenging segments because students have to instantly think of ideas to create a prototype using the given instructions. So when we talk about creativity, this segment is the perfect fit. We expect the students to use their creative thinking to analyze the instructions and create an efficient model. In this event, each team will be given a brief about a project and the necessary equipment to complete it. The most efficient and correctly working project will be declared as the winner.
There will be two categories:
1. Senior (Class 10-12 and HSC25)
2. Junior (Class 6-9)
Rules & Regulations:
• Each team can consist of a maximum of 3 members.
• The team can be mixed up (students from different classes within the same category can team up together).
• Teams will be provided with the necessary parts & major equipment like motors to complete the project, along with a rulebook.
• The participants must bring necessary items like- Anti-cutter, Scissors, Glue, Scale, Pencil, etc.
• Teams will be given four and a half hours to complete their project.
• Using cell phones in the event room is allowed.

Build-A-Bridge
Bridge Building Competition promotes the application of engineering principles in a practical setting and helps students develop “hands-on” skills. How creativity is implied while keeping the laws of physics in mind is truly astonishing. By participating in this competition, the students as a team, get to design and construct efficient structures using popsicle sticks under constraints, preparing them for real-world engineering challenges.
Category: Open for all

Rules & Regulations:
• Each team can consist of a maximum of 3 members.
• The team can be mixed up (students from different classes can team up together).
• Teams will be given four and a half hours to complete their project.
• Overlapping of popsicle sticks should not exceed 1 cm.
• The deck of the bridge should be clear with no blockage.
• A glue gun and glue stick will be provided, and other necessary equipment like multi plug, scissors, ruler, etc. must be brought by the participants.
• Using super glue, epoxy glue, or threads is prohibited.

Teach-A-Topic
This segment will help the students gain knowledge regarding the innovations and concepts of science. In this segment, they will be given a bunch of topics from which they need to pick one and explain the topic to the judge in an understandable and efficient way. It will enhance their knowledge, presentation skills and encourage public speaking.
There will be two categories:
1. Senior (Class 10-12 and HSC25)
2. Junior (Class 6-9)
Rules & Regulations:
• There will be chits of the given scientific concepts in a container, among which participants need to pick one.
• This is a solo event where each participant needs to give a speech regarding the elected scientific topic within a time limit of 4 minutes.
• The participants will explain the topic to the judge understandably and efficiently.
• Participants can use examples, questions, or demonstrations to make it interesting.
• Participants can use the whiteboard and laptop to present visuals if they want.

Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt is a recreational event where participants solve riddles to go to the final step of finding hidden treasures. It promotes teamwork, problem-solving skills, creativity, and fosters a sense of adventure and excitement among participants. We want the students to get creative to navigate through a series of obstacles and clues while still having an adventurous time.
Category: Open for all

Rules & Regulations:
• Each team will consist of 3 members.
• The event will be divided into two rounds and only the first 6 teams to complete the first round can take part in the second round.
• The first round will be of 30 minutes, and the second round will be of two and a half hours.
• The first round will have quizzes & riddles that will work as a clue to solve the puzzles & mysteries of the second round.
• No devices are allowed.

Project Showcase
This segment will allow students to transform their creative imaginations into real life prototypes. Creativity is the key to innovation. We want the students to know that there is no boundary for their creativity and they can use it in their own way to develop technology or its prototypes that can solve real life problems.
There will be two categories:
1. Senior (Class 10-12 and HSC25)
2. Junior (Class 6-9)
Rules & Regulations:
• Each team can consist of a maximum of 3 members.
• The projects can be on any science based topic.
• Participants must bring the necessary items like tape, multiplug, scissors etc. on their own.

Wall Magazine Exhibition
While we may not always be able to create a working model from our creative thinking, we can surely design and plot our ideas into papers and other craft items to visually display what our idea looks like. Again, no boundary for their creativity, wall magazines will not only let the students express their creative ideas, but also deepen their knowledge on a certain scientific topic.
There will be two categories:
1. Senior (Class 10-12 and HSC25)
2. Junior (Class 6-9)
Rules & Regulations:
• Each team can consist of a maximum of 3 members.
• There is no specific size, but wall magazines must have a science based theme.
• Participants must bring the necessary items like tape, multiplug, scissors etc. on their own.
• Registration fee: None

Ai Art Lab
AI image generation competitions drive innovation in computer vision and generative modeling, fostering creativity and pushing the boundaries of visual content creation. In this segment, we will be seeing how well a student can analyze the given theme and generate the most appropriate image using AI technology.
Category: Open for all

Rules & Regulations:
• This is a solo event.
• Participants have to download the ChatGPT app before the exam.
• Only free accounts are allowed (premium not permitted).
• Participants are not allowed to use ChatGPT 24 hours before the exam.

• Participants have to generate two images (one from their own prompt, one from the given prompt).
• Participants have to download both images.
• Participants have to submit screenshots of the prompts used.

Sci-Fi Story Writing
This segment pairs up science with literature really well. Students can flaunt their literary creativity besides their scientific fantasies where they will write a story of approximately 250-350 words.
There will be two categories:

• Use of cell phones or other electronic devices is strictly prohibited during the event.

Olympiads
Creativity allows people to find the simplest way to solve a problem and also allows them to simplify complex problems. This is a segment where we will be judging the problem-solving ability and knowledge of a student. Students will be using their academic knowledge and apply it creatively to solve the questions.
Olympiad lists:
1. Physics (Senior)
2. Chemistry (Senior)
3. Biology (Senior)
4. General science (Junior)
There will be two categories:
