The Buddhist Society of Cincinnati (BSC)- Ngagyur Shedi Pemi Ling Gomba would like to INVITE EVERYONE to celebrate � � 1. Maghay Sangkranti - Celebrated as New Year,
2. Losar /Lunar New Year. It marks the beginning of the year on the Lunisolar calendar . It is celebrated in many parts of the World � . It is a time for family get together , exchange good wishes/gifts. People pray and visit temples , engage in acts of kindness , compassion and generosity . The year is represented by one of the twelve animals on a twelve year cycle , 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse .
There will be a prayer session with lighting candle/butter lamps, light-refreshment/food and musical performances from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on the 18th of January 2026, Sunday.
Please join us to celebrate � � Maghay Sangkranti and Losar at our Gomba on the same date.
