About the artists:
Pandit Rajendra Prasanna -
Rajendra Prasanna is a foremost exponent of Bansuri & Shehnai and a celebrated artist recognized for his unique ability to perform on two instruments at the highest level. It is indeed a very rare skill in the field of Hindustani music. He hails from Benaras and comes from a traditional family of musicians of renowned Benaras Gharana. He preserves, exercises and performs the old traditional music and arts of India which has been retained with his family for many generations. He was groomed by his grandfather Pt. Gauri Shankar and father Pt. Raghunath Prasanna and was the first in the Prasanna family to introduce both Tripura and Krishna flute. It is said that the style of the family is adopted by most of
top flute players in the country including Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia who used to be a student of the family.
Rajendra Prasanna was also guided by his uncle Pt. Bholanath Prasanna and Pt. Vishnu Prasanna. He also has received the taalim from Thumri Samrat Pt. Mahadev Prasad Mishra of Varanasi. He moved to Delhi from Varanasi with his family which enabled him to learn from two maestros of Rampur Sehaswan Gharana who were Padmashree Ustad Hafeez Ahmed Khan and Ustad Sarfaraz Hussain Khan.
Felicitated with a Grammy Award certificate in 2004, Rajendra Prasanna became an international personality. He has performed across the globe, including appearances at renowned festivals and venues in many different countries of Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Australia, such as the Edinburgh festival in the UK, UNO headquarters in Switzerland and WOMAD festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Recital Centre, Opera de Lyon (France) etc.

Guest appearance- Shivam Rath
Shivam Rath, is a second-generation musician following in the footsteps of his father, journeying from Australia into the profound world of Indian classical music. Since committing fully to this path, Shivam has steadily risen to become one of Australia’s leading slide guitarists.
Born into a musical family, Shivam blends his deep practice of meditation with classical training in music, mantra, and raga. Over the past decade, he has performed and taught music around the globe, sharing his passion through concerts, workshops, and retreats. His original compositions draw from ancient traditions, reviving and reimagining sacred sounds for the modern world—bridging cultures and timelines with music that is both innovative and rooted in lineage.
Shivam has studied under some of the world’s most respected instrumentalists, including Riley Lee (Shakuhachi – Japanese flute), Indian slide guitar maestro Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya, and tabla virtuoso Pandit Chota Lal Mishra (former professor at BHU University). His dedication to the raga tradition is reflected in his teaching and performances across continents, as well as in his collaborations with some of India’s most highly acclaimed musical masters.
With his unique approach—combining the 22-string Indian slide guitar (Chatarangi), live looping, and electronic tabla—Shivam continues to carve out a distinctive space in the global music scene, inspiring audiences with a sound that is meditative, expansive, and deeply rooted.
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bathe in the sounds of the melodious history of the classical by the maestros.
