Tango day in Royal Marine Hotel | Luxury 4 Stars hotel in Dun Laoghaire
SUNDAY the 21st - is reserved for private lessons with El Maestro - SOLD OUT! However, we welcome inquiries in case of any last-minute cancellations. (very limited availability for private classes on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th)
PROGRAM - Saturday the 20th
?2 to 3.30pm - Argentine Tango & Japan - Special event, in recognition of Maestro Carlos Rivarola's career and his cultural contribution to Japan over the last four decades. Representatives from the Embassy of Japan, Argentina, and the Japan Association in Ireland will be present. Event aimed at the general public. Thanks to Azumi Uchitani for organising this part of the event. We also appreciate the presence and support of the Embassy of Argentina in Ireland, the Embassy of Japan in Ireland, and the Ireland Japan Association.
?3.30 to 4pm - break
?4 to 5.30pm - Workshop 1 - "MILONGA” Double turn with traspié. Marking for the lead. Combination steps
?5.30 to 6pm - break
?6 to 7.30pm - Workshop 2 - “TANGO” Techniques for achieving good balance, proper foot and leg positioning for a comfortable embrace. Marking for the lead. Cadence. Combination of walking with sacadas. Enrosque with gancho. Ladies' ornaments.
After the workshops ? Flor de Milonga de Gala till 11pm ✨
