The good people of Madison Free Will Baptist Church in Madison, TN have been having a 5th Sunday gospel singing as far back as I can recall. I personally sang there over 20 years ago and have a friend and fellow singer that grew up in this church and has told me of singings he attended growing up. To me, that is a true testament of faithfulness! Ms Ruth Jackson has coordinated these services for several years and has the full support of their pastor, John Murray. The groups sing at 9:30 a.m., during what is normally their Sunday School time, Pastor Murray brings his message after the singers finish, but often has them sing during the alter call. After the worship service everyone steps into the fellowship hall for a pot luck lunch prepared by the church members, and let me tell you, nobody leaves hungry. Gospel music, a scriptural message, fine fellowship, and food, how much closer can you get to Heaven? Join us in service to our King! As Bill Gaither would say "Why not."
