Annual 8.5-mile Grand River race from Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark to Hidden Valley Park. For ages 10 and older; if younger than 18, must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must pre-register by April 13, no same-day registration. Fee: $25 per person.
Awards to top three finishers in each race category. All racers receive a t-shirt and a finisher’s medal.
Be sure to wear a crazy hat — the more creative, the better! — while you race for a chance to win the Maddest Hat contest. Hats must be worn during the race and fit under bridges (clearance approx. 140 ft.).
As part of Lake County’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday, this year’s race will commemorate The Battles of Lexington & Concord and Paul Revere & the Riders Midnight Ride, which took place on April 18–19, 1775.
