About this Event
Made You Look isn’t just an art show—it’s Brooklyn, reimagined. Artists Tyler Jordan and John Wright transform everyday relics of the borough—subway maps, newsstands, domino tables, and street signage—into an immersive installation that blurs the line between gallery and city block.
Jordan, a Brooklyn-based photographer, curator, and founder of C.A.N.V.A.S, is best known for his long-exposure subway photography projects (The Spread Love Project, Love in Transit), which have been featured on Behance’s Best of Photography and earned recognition as one of the Top 100 Photographers to Watch by HUG. His long-exposure photography meets Wright’s acrylic mixed media and custom fixtures, creating a dialogue between grit and design, memory and vision. Wright, who recently held a solo exhibition at the Filipino Consulate in NYC and currently serves as curator of the Blue Gallery on East 46th Street, is recognized for his ability to merge handcrafted installations with contemporary painting, turning cultural touchstones into layered works of art.
Part homage, part experience, Made You Look celebrates the raw beauty, humor, and resilience of New York’s most iconic borough, a show for those who live it, love it, and want to see it in a new light.
