Celebrate the season with four weeks of creative joy! Each Saturday in December, we’ll gather for a new hands-on project inspired by the sparkle and serenity of winter. From shimmering shadowbox frames to handmade ornaments, each creation will be crafted with love and wrapped in wintry snowflake style. Sip on a cup of hot cocoa as you craft, relax, and soak in the cozy spirit of the season.Over four festive sessions, you’ll design:
December 6: Sparkling Canvas Shadowbox Frame
December 13: Hand-Stamped Gift Wrap
December 20: Mosaic Snowflake Ornament
December 27: Mini Snowflake Canvas
Each 2-hour session offers a chance to explore new techniques, connect with fellow makers, and create four unique holiday keepsakes. When registering, please select the date(s) you'd like to participate.
Date: Saturdays in December
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Age Requirements: Children (5-12) and Teens (13-17), no experience required
Supplies provided.
Artist Instructor Bio: Raka Kingsland is the Lead Art Teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools, where she teaches visual art to students in grades K–5. Certified to teach K–12, Raka has been inspiring young artists for over eight years. She earned her degree in Special Education and Art Education from Valparaiso University and is passionate about making art accessible and meaningful for all learners. Originally born in India and raised in Indiana, Raka brings a unique perspective to her classroom, weaving together culture, storytelling, and creativity. She believes art is not only a way for students to explore technique and expression but also a tool to build confidence, community, and a lifelong appreciation for creativity.
