Pastor Mick Fleming is a former drug dealer who set up Church on the Street in 2019 to help the homeless and people living in some form of poverty in Burnley and the surrounding area.
In 2009, Mick suffered a 'complete breakdown' after nearly confronting a man who he was collecting a debt from with a gun. He was sectioned under the mental health act. It was during this time that that Mick met Pastor Tony, who used to visit. They would both pray and talk which led to Mick's life changing
John-Paul Flintoff is a writer, artist and performer. His books include Sew Your Own, What If The Queen Should Die?, and most recently A Modest Book About How to Make an Adequate Speech. Psalms for the City is his first poetry collection which was written in response to his recovery from a mental health crisis, and finding faith and healing in the spaces around him.
Lily-Jo is a singer/songwriter from Manchester in the UK and a trained Counsellor. After meeting so many people at gigs and hearing them tell her some of their life stories, she was moved to create the Lily Jo Project. The Lily-Jo Project is devoted to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health through music, digital resources, and community engagement.
