‼️ATTENTION‼️From our last auditions in 2020, we’ve heard a lot of people express interest for the next Made in Asia Auditions. We are pleased to announce that Made in Asia is holding auditions to find our new members to join the family on 28th January!

?ABOUT MADE IN ASIA
Made in Asia (MiA) is a dance cover crew formed in 2013. Starting off with just 6 members, MiA has grown throughout the years and our family now includes 33 members. Our crew activities include posting dance covers to our YouTube channel (which has recently reached 70,200 subscribers!), performing at various events around Perth! Our leader Leteshi also teaches weekly K-pop dance classes as well as her own choreography at Ardence Studio in Osborne Park.
In order to become an official member, you must first pass the two sections of the dance audition, and then successfully complete a trial period. More details on these two requirements are included below.

?DANCE AUDITION
For the audition, you will be required to showcase your dance ability in two sections. Auditionees who are successful in the dance audition will move on to join MiA as a trial member. There are two sections to the dance audition:
SECTION 1
This section requires auditionees to prepare the first pre-chorus and chorus of a self-chosen K-pop choreography to be performed in person at the audition. Ideally, you should pick a choreography that showcases the dance style that best suits you, or that you are most confident in.
In this section we will be assessing:
> Accuracy of the dance
> Facial expressions that suit the meaning of the song
> Power and sharpness of moves that is appropriate for chosen dance
> Confidence (This involves how natural and effortless your moves look)
> Ability to lip-sync
NOTE: You will be able to choose either Video or Physical Audition for this section on the form however, please be advised that the Video Auditionees will be judged harsher due to its nature (i.e. the ability to retake the video).
SECTION 2
This section will require you to learn a choreography that will be taught on the day. This choreography will only be revealed at the audition itself. In this section we will be looking at:
> Accuracy of the dance
> Attention to detail during learning
> Speed of learning
> Power and sharpness of moves
Please note, for Video Auditionees, you will be contacted by one of our team members to complete Section 2 if you successfully passed Section 1.
NOTE: You will be required to pay for the class at a discounted rate.
?TRIAL PERIOD
Auditionees who are selected from the dance audition will be asked to participate in a number of dance covers or performances with MiA members as part of the trial period. During this time, we will be selecting candidates to become official members based on their:
> Ability to work together with MiA members
> Attitude towards constructive criticism and improving their dancing
> Improvement between rehearsals (practising and revising)
> Punctuality and commitment to practice and filming
> Friendliness and politeness
> Performance during cover filming/live performances
