Madame ZuZu's Artist Showcase series is dedicated to spotlighting the boundless talent and creativity of musicians from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. This installment spotlights Sad House Guest!
Sad House Guest makes music because nothing else makes sense. We are a midwest indie-rock band based in Chicago, IL. Our original music is a blend of stream-of-conscious lyrics with energetic and easy-to-listen-to instrumentation. Although the project has existed for many years the Chicago lineup started in January 2024 after I (frontman Samuel Stein) moved to the area in summer 2023 to pursue music. Since then we’ve played many shows showcasing songs from our 2023 debut album “Can I Make This Lighthearted?” (streaming everywhere) and covers from modern indie-pop/folk/rock artists.
