Madame Thespia is delighted to announce after almost three years of running bombastic, spectacularly fun and somewhat slapdash open mic nights in Exeter, she and her longsuffering companion Gustave LeGrump are coming to Paignton Library!!
Madame Thespia and Gustave will be hosting an eclectic night of comedy, music, poetry, storytelling and more. No one knows exactly what to expect… least of all, Madame Thespia herself! Previous soirées have included festive frolics (at Exeter library last year), immersive M**der mystery (at Exeter’s Barnfield Theatre) and absurdist fortune telling (at Exeter Phoenix).
Madame Thespia's open mic nights are open to everyone but especially designed to platform the work of creatives from under-represented backgrounds, including (but not limited to!) neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, non-binary, global majority, late career and early career artists.
Dressing up is encouraged (the theme is April Fools, the weirder the better) - with a prize for the best costume!
