Mick Ferry set foot on stage for the very first time at the legendary Frog and Bucket in 1997, which has led to a career that has seen him perform all around the world. He is one of the most sought after comperes and headliners in the UK and writes regularly for some of the biggest names in stand up comedy and he has appeared on many tv shows.
Completely at ease with any audience, Mick has an effortless ability to pluck material from thin air.
A supremely talented performer, Mick is a member of the esteemed Cutting Edge Show at The Comedy Store. It’s a furiously fast paced topical team show that relies on its members being quick witted and Mick continues to hone his off the cuff spontaneous acerbic and razor sharp outbursts.
Mike Gunn’s history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”. He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likable and funny. His reputation for being a bit unfriendly, a touch dark and even morose is really not true. In real life he’s loving, warm and philanthropic. Just a bit misunderstood.
Television appearances include Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Celebrity Deal or no Deal (CH 4), Harry Hill’s TV Burp (ITV), Al Murray’s sitcom ‘Time Gentlemen Please’ (Sky), Soccer AM (Sky 1), The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Live At Jongleurs (CH5), and The Gas (CH4). He is a regular on the Sky Poker channel and has also been a contributor for The Guardian. He has written for Time Out, The List, The 11 O’clock Show (CH4) and Match of The Day Magazine. even though he hates football.
Resident MC Danny McLoughlin has the sharp wit & material, likeable persona and strong stage presence that have seen him become a much sought after act in his short time as a stand up. A finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of The Year in 2008, Danny went on to perform as part of the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show during Edinburgh Festival 2009. He also supported Al Pitcher on his UK Tour and is booked by some of the UK's biggest gigs and promoters.
