Macrame potted plant hangerThursday October 30th, 2025 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
Cost: $35
Create a plant hanger that is sure to bring a cozy, secure space for your plant and pazazz to your space. It will be big enough for a 4” to 6” potted plant that hangs roughly 30” from the ceiling. We’ll learn two basic macrame knots, the square knot and the spiral knot. Colorful beads and cord as well as a wooden ring for hanging will be provided. In this class, you have the chance to express your creativity by designing the pattern of knots, length and colors.

What will we do at this class?
Each student will have the chance to create their own design or match the example in class. We’ll start by choosing colors of cord and beads, discuss designs and their relationship to the shape of plants and cut the cord to size. We walk through each step together, learn two versatile knots (square knot and spiral knot) that will provide a solid macrame foundation beyond this class. Handouts of pictures and steps to create each knot will be provided for you to take home.
Who should attend?
Anyone who would like to learn the basic knots of macrame or anyone who is experienced and would like to gather with like-minded crafty enthusiasts. No experience is necessary to take this class. Veterans, stories of the 60's and 70's macrame explosion are always welcome.
What should I bring?
You’re welcome to bring your own beads with a 2mm or 4mm hole. If you’d like to bring something to draw out your design, feel free to do so.
