Event Description -
This macrame workshop will explore working with cotton cord and how to make a macrame plant hanger. You will learn a few basic macrame knots, pattern making and finishing. This class will provide a wooden hoop to hang your macrame from, enough cotton cord to make your hanger with, and scissors. Each participant can expect to leave the workshop with their very own finished macrame hanger. This class is great for beginners to macrame and veterans alike!
The ticket does not include a pot or basket, only the macrame. All participants will receive a 15% off coupon to B.Willow that can be used for a new plant or pot for your macrame, or saved for later.
About Tarah -
Working with all natural materials, Tarah Boyd has found herself immersed in the fiber art world, pulling inspiration from nature and motherhood. Her fiber niche includes macrame and weaving with a greater focus on conceptual and abstract soft sculpture. With decades of experience in the art world, Tarah has been teaching fiber art for 5 years at various locations in the DMV area. Tarah's art work has been recognized and published in printings such as Baltimore Magazine and The Howard County Times. When she is not creating, you can find Tarah spending time with her family, hiking trails with friends or jamming out to indie-folk or chillhouse music.
